Tomatillo, Grande Verde ~ Physalis ixocarpa
$5 per plant in 9cm pot
Tomatillo, the plant that gives and gives! Lovely plump fruits develop on this annual that are ready to harvest when the papery husks split. Grow in a well sunny spot and give it plenty of moisture. You could try staking it but it does tend to have a more sprawly nature. Note this is not a tomato nor even part of the same family and neither is it a gooseberry!

They put a beautiful tang to your guacamole too…mmmmm, summer!
